Adoption

Ferret adoptions are available for $100 through 3 years of age, and $80 for ages 4 through 6.

The adoption fee covers:

  • spaying or neutering
  • a coupon for a free visit to our veterinarian
  • a distemper shot
  • an AVID microchip that you can have registered in your name

We typically have more than 20 ferrets available for adoption at the shelter. Right now, we have around 5, which is very unusual for us.

All adoptions are by appointment only. Please call (971) 313-3622 to schedule one. Our regular shelter hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but we will work with your schedule too. The shelter is located at the home of Chris and Dave Mathis in Prineville, OR.

Before we let you take one of our guys home, we have to make sure that you are ready for them. Our adoption form covers many basic questions, such as whether you have owned ferrets before, if you have other pets, if you have permission from your landlord (if you need it), or even if you have a cage ready for them at home. It’s important to us that you know what you are getting into and that your transition into ferret ownership is a smooth one.
